Oh, no! Little Owl is lost and needs your help to find Mommy Owl. Young children and emerging readers alike are invited to come to the picture book area of the Children's Room and Walk, Read, & Seek: Little Owl Lost. The fun starts by walking & reading an abbreviated version of Little Owl Lost by Chris Haughton. As you move through the story, lift the flaps as instructed to try and find Mommy Owl. Once Mommy Owl is found, children will receive a little owl stuffed animal to keep!
If your child loves the story, grab the display copy and your child's newest stuffed animal. Then, sit down together and read the picture book in its entirety. Full of humor, big emotions, a rich color palette, and simple text, it's a story sure to spark a love of reading and memories of a special day at the MLK Library.
The Children's Room is located on the second floor of the MLK Jr. Memorial Library.
