Expand access and visibility of DC newspapers with The People’s Archive! Help add digitized newspaper issues to the DC Public Library’s historic online collection, DigDC.
Attend this virtual event to learn how to create descriptions, known as metadata, for digitized issues of the Washington Blade and the Washington City Paper.
Over the course of the month, create descriptions for 4 newspaper issues on your own time.
No prior knowledge of metadata, the Washington Blade, or the Washington City Paper is required to participate. All skill levels are welcome. This event will be completely virtual and registration is required. After you register, you will be sent the virtual meeting link closer to the event date.
