Discover Summer Kickoff Celebration

Stop by Shepherd Park Library on Saturday, June 17th between 10am - 4pm to celebrate the 2023 kickoff of Discover Summer.

This year, DCPL is challenging you all to Go, Find and Explore your city. First stop is your local library. Stop by Shepherd Park Library on Saturday, June 17th between 10am - 4pm to celebrate the 2023 kickoff of Discover Summer. 

We'll be having the following activities:

• (10am-2pm)  Legos! :  This is a Lego free play session, stop by and play for as little or as long as you'd like. What will you build?
• (10am-4pm)  Crafts! : Unleash your creativity, and make some art using our arts & crafts supplies. Stop by the crafting table anytime between  10am - 4pm to craft. Take as little or as long as you'd like.
• (1:30 - 2:30) The Floor is Lava! : The fan favorite is back. We'll be setting up a child friendly obstacle course where children can hop from platform to platform as the music plays. What ever you do, DO NOT step into the molten hot lava (the floor).
