Get in the spooky mood with ghost stories told by professional storytellers in the MLK Café Garden.
This October, we're getting in the Halloween spirit with oral storytelling, an old Southern artform that we're bringing to the MLK Library!
Professional storytellers Jane Dorfman, Jessica Robinson, and Jack Scheer from Better Said Than Done, a local community of professional storytellers, will perform live, original spooky ghost stories in the Café Garden space of the MLK Library, located next to Marianne's on the first floor. Guests are encouraged to bring weather-appropriate jackets or small blankets and to purchase a hot beverage at the café before the event. In case of rain, the event will be moved inside to the Auditorium.
This event has graciously been sponsored by the DC Library Foundation, allowing us to pay our artists for their time and talents.
