Read your book and eat it too!
Instead of one cake to enjoy at the library's 100th birthday... how about a few!? Edible book contests are a fun and creative way to celebrate reading. An edible book contest is a popular program in both public and academic libraries around the world. Participants are not limited to baking or cooking one type of food, they are just asked to express themselves through a literary culinary creation. Recreate the cover of your favorite novel on a sheet cake or make The Very Hungry Caterpillar out of cupcakes!
What are the contest guidelines?
1. Your edible book creation is...edible!
2. Your creation has something to do with a book.
3. You share the ingredients of your edible book.
Sign up to participate through this form and library staff will follow up with instructions!
Drop edible creations off at the library before 5:30 pm on Friday 9/12. An expert panel of local judges will review submissions and present prizes to winners at 7:45pm.
