Up next, formerly known as Beat the Streets, is a neighborhood engagement event to strengthen community ties and promote safety in our neighborhoods over the summer months. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has hosted these festivals across the city for many years. This traveling community festival, complete with local Go-Go bands, artists, and resource partners, not only provides enjoyable programming for community members, but provides an opportunity for residents to connect with the police department and other community-based organization.
This year's festival includes a performance by High Quality Band, as well as free legal help for D.C. residents, book bag givaways, double dutch workshops and more! Featured organizations and community partners include:
