Learn how to play chess or improve your skills with a certified chess instructor.
The Cleveland Park Branch of the DC Library is pleased to continue our partnership with the U.S. Chess Center. Open to all students in grades 2 to 6 of all abilities, including beginners. Players are grouped by ability, not age. Beginners will learn the rules and experienced players will learn strategy. Classes are led by an experienced chess instructor.
Parents or guardians are asked to stay in the building but not in the meeting room during instruction. Class will meet on all Wednesdays the library is open except during DCPS winter and spring breaks.
Chess Club is sponsored by The Friends of the Cleveland Park Library. For more information, contact the Friends of Cleveland Park Library at FCPLPresident@gmail.com, or the U.S. Chess Center at admin@chessctr.org | 202-857-4922.
