The DC Public Library is excited to host an Author Talk with Chantal James on her book None But the Righteous.
The Library is excited to join East City Bookshop for a conversation with author Chantal James for her book None But the Righteous. James will discuss her novel that follows a young man’s journey and search for home after being exiled by a hurricane.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
Chantal James lives in Washington, D.C., and has been published across genres—as a poet, fiction writer, essayist, and book reviewer—in such venues as Catapult, Paste, Harvard’s Transition, The Bitter Southerner, and more. James’s honors include a Fulbright Fellowship in creative writing to Morocco and a finalist position for the Alex Albright Creative Nonfiction Prize from the North Carolina Literary Review in 2019.
Camonghne Felix, poet and essayist, is the author of Dyscalculia: A Love Story of Epic Miscalculation, and Build Yourself a Boat, which was longlisted for the 2019 National Book Award in Poetry and shortlisted for the PEN/Open Book Award and for a Lambda Literary Award. Her poetry has appeared in or is forthcoming from the Academy of American Poets website, Freeman’s Journal, Harvard Review, LitHub, The New Yorker, PEN America, Poetry Magazine, and elsewhere. Her essays have been featured in Vanity Fair, New York Magazine, Teen Vogue, and other places.
