The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library is pleased to invite you to a discussion in partnership with Equimundo.
Equimundo has been co-leading MenCare, the global fatherhood campaign active in over 50 countries, for over a decade. As we look ahead towards building greater coordination and collaboration across those working in fatherhood and male caregiving in the US, what would a US national effort toward care equality – focusing on healthy expressions of masculinity and the diversity of men’s experiences look like?
Equimundo is excited to launch a MenCare-affiliated national US network and share highlights from our first MenCare US Landscape Report discussing the state of fatherhood and equitable caregiving in the US.
Join us in conversation with Omari Maynard, co-founder of ARIAH Foundation and participant from the film Aftershock, speaking on reproductive justice as it relates to Black maternal mortality crisis, Sarah Vitti from Caring Across Generations, bringing in experience on masculinities and narrative shifts, Kenneth Braswell, an expert authority on Responsible Fatherhood and CEO of Fathers Incorporated., Brian Anderson, author and Executive Director of Fathering Together, and lastly, Héctor Sánchez-Flores, Equimundo Board Member and Executive Director of National Compadres Network.
We hope you can join us for an evening of engaging conversations, storytelling, and fellowship. Feel free to bring a colleague or a friend who may be interested in joining the conversation.
