Interested in filmmaking? Teen Film Club exposes teens, ages 14 to 17 to the craft of filmmaking through interactive lectures. Each week builds upon the previous lesson. Sessions will be held every Monday in November from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Studio Lab, on the A Level of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library.
Students will learn how to:
Develop your story idea
Plan your shots and sounds
Editing techniques
Teens must register for these sessions in advance. Sessions are limited to 15 participants. Registration is first come, first serve basis.
To receive community service credit for each session, teens must be registered as a DC Public Library Volunteer. Teens can apply to be a DC Public Library volunteer here or visit dclibrary.org/volunteer. COVID-19 Vaccination documentation is required, including any eligible booster shots.
