Spotlighting the GALE database of online research, the Federal Surveillance of African Americans 1920-1984.
In conjunction with International Wave at the Surveillance Cameras Day (August 16), Takoma Park Library is spotlighting one of the GALE databases of online research, the Federal Surveillance of African Americans 1920-1984 (Gale) by having only 15 Top Secret Packages that were curated from the files with associated materials for checkout. This is a collection of documents that have been unsealed by the United States Government detailing the surveillance of Black Americans for decades.
Again, only 15 Top Secret Packages. So, when they're gone, they're gone! First come first serve.
