The DC Public Library is excited to Discover Summer with you at The Phillips Collection, the first museum of modern art in America! Enjoy the permanent collection as well as Intersections: Marta Pérez García and ​the special exhibition Lou Stovall: The Museum Workshop exhibit. In addition, The DC Public Library and The Phillips Collection will host a special storytime for families, print-making workshops, a scavenger hunt, gallery games, and more! 

To ensure that families can enjoy the spaces and activities and limit crowds, The Phillips Collection kindly requests that you sign up for a visit time using the links below. The Phillips Collection requires pre-registration.

The Phillips Collection, America’s first museum of modern art, was opened in 1921 in historic Dupont Circle in Washington, DC, by collector and philanthropist Duncan Phillips. From the outset, the vision for The Phillips Collection was “an intimate museum combined with an experiment station.”
