Do you have questions about accessibility or assistive technology and want to share your problem solving process?

Do you have questions about accessibility or assistive technology and want to share your problem solving process? The Adaptive Services Interest Group (ASIG) of the District of Columbia Library Association (DCLA) is holding another meeting on Thursday March 3rd from 11am to 12pm over Zoom. ASIG will support conversation on strategies and best practices for accessibility services at libraries and other institutions. Invited are librarians, accessibility and assistive technology professionals and users from around the DC/MD/VA area who want to problem solve in a shared environment.

Topics of discussion could include any of the following:

  • Universal Design
  • Best practices in virtual services due to Covid
  • Whether audio loops are incorporated into the design of buildings
  • What types of effective communication are offered to the public?
  • Distributing adaptive technology service remotely
