Join The Mahjong Lady for an exciting introduction to Classic Hong Kong Style Mahjong—one of the most versatile and widely played versions of the game around the world. Mahjong, meaning “sparrow” in Chinese, is a game of strategy, skill, and a bit of luck. Originating in China, it spread internationally, evolving into different regional styles.
This class offers an exciting introduction to Classic Hong Kong Style Mahjong—one of the most versatile and widely played versions of the game around the world. Learning this style provides a strong foundation, making it easier to explore other versions of mahjong, including those that use annually updated scorecards.
What You’ll Learn:

🀄 The fundamentals of Hong Kong Style gameplay, tile sets, and scoring.
🀄 Strategies to build winning hands, similar to Gin Rummy.
