Are you a budding artist or a Halloween lover between the ages of 5 and 12? Draw your scariest Halloween scene and enter it into our contest!
We will feature two categories of competition:
The winner from each category will win a prize bag with art supplies and a scary book.
Step 1: Create your art! You can draw, paint, or use any other medium as long as your art is 8.5"x11" (the size of a standard piece of paper) or smaller. We have paper, colored pencils, and crayons available to use at the library. Don’t know what to draw? Here are some ideas: -a pirate skeleton -trick or treating at a haunted house -a ghost spider -a witch making a yucky potion
Step 2: On the back of your work, please include your name, age, and contact information.
Step 3: Turn in your art to any staff member at the Takoma Park Neighborhood library by October 27. One entry per person. Lewd or offensive art will not be accepted.
All drawings will be featured in our Takoma Park Library Art Gallery (coming soon). Winners will be notified in early November. All art not picked up by the end of November may be recycled.
