Volunteer to help uncover history with us! Program sponsored by the People's Archives
What did newspapers in DC report about Nazi persecution during the 1930s and 1940s? In partnership with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, The People’s Archive at DC Public Library offers this “research sprint” into our newspaper collections. By identifying Holocaust-related articles in DC newspapers, we will begin to understand what the average Washingtonian could have known during WWII.
Orientation to the History Unfolded project will be provided by United States Holocaust Memorial Museum staff. The People’s Archive staff will guide volunteers to access microfilmed newspapers and DC Public Library newspaper databases.
No previous research experience is required. The minimum age to participate is 16 (12 with an adult).
This event is a partnership with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
